Modern Slavery Act Statement
Clara Jensen is committed to acting with integrity, fairness, and responsibility in every part of our business. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in all their forms. We believe luxury should be built on quality, respect, and ethical practice, and that commitment extends to the relationships and supply chains behind every Clara Jensen product.
As a fragrance house based in Chester, UK, we are committed to conducting business in a way that respects human rights and promotes responsible sourcing. We expect the same standards from those we work with, including suppliers, manufacturers, packaging partners, and other third parties who support our business.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to reducing the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chain. This includes taking reasonable steps to work with partners who operate lawfully, ethically, and fairly, and who share our commitment to responsible business practices.
We do not knowingly work with any business involved in forced labour, bonded labour, child labour, human trafficking, or any form of exploitation. Where concerns arise, we will review the relationship carefully and take appropriate action.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Clara Jensen creates luxury fragrances and home fragrance products, including perfumes, selected men’s fragrances, room diffusers, and scented candles. As part of our operations, we work with suppliers and service providers connected to product ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, fulfilment, and delivery.
We recognise that supply chains can present risks, and we are committed to making thoughtful, informed decisions about who we work with. We aim to build relationships with suppliers who demonstrate strong ethical standards, transparency, and fair treatment of workers.
Supplier Expectations
We expect our suppliers and business partners to:
Operate in compliance with applicable laws
Suppliers must comply with all relevant employment, labour, and human rights laws in the countries in which they operate.
Prohibit forced and exploitative labour
We expect suppliers to have clear policies and practices in place to prevent forced labour, human trafficking, servitude, and any other form of coercion or exploitation.
Treat workers fairly
We expect workers to be treated with dignity and respect, to work voluntarily, and to receive fair pay and working conditions in line with legal requirements.
Support ethical and responsible sourcing
We aim to work with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical business conduct, responsible sourcing, and continual improvement.
Our Approach
We are committed to taking proportionate steps to help identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chain. These steps may include reviewing suppliers before entering into relationships, monitoring supplier standards where appropriate, and considering ethical practices as part of our sourcing decisions.
As our business grows, we will continue to strengthen our processes and review our approach to ensure it remains appropriate for the size and nature of our operations.
Reporting Concerns
We take any concerns relating to modern slavery seriously. If we become aware of any issue suggesting that exploitation, forced labour, or trafficking may be present within our business or supply chain, we will investigate the matter and take appropriate action. If you suspect anything, use our contact and choose the Whistleblowing option.
Ongoing Review
Clara Jensen understands that addressing modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time exercise. We will continue to review our practices, assess our supplier relationships, and look for ways to improve our approach as the business develops.
Statement
This statement reflects Clara Jensen’s commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, and to conducting our operations with integrity, accountability, and respect for human rights.
